Payday Loans for AISH

AISH payday loans are offered to individuals who receive income through the Alberta Income for the Severely Handicapped program. This short-term loan relies on your government benefits as your primary source of income.

iCASH provides unsecured payday loans for up to $1,500 to those who receive AISH benefits, which must then be repaid over a short period of time, with interest.

For those on a fixed income, getting access to an AISH loan can help when they encounter unexpected or emergency bills and expenses, have trouble managing their cash flow, need some extra cash to pay for medical expenses, or otherwise are having trouble making ends meet.

What’s more, it’s not only your AISH benefit that can be leveraged for a quick cash loan. Other government benefit programs qualify, too, along with pensions, traditional work wages, insurance benefits, and more. So long as you have a minimum monthly combined income of at least $800, any or all of those sources of income can be used to apply for a money loan.

We offer an easy online application process, meaning there is no travel or office visits involved. You can apply anytime, 24/7/365, from the comfort of your own home. Add to that competitive interest rates, outstanding customer service, flexible loan repayment options*, and cashback rewards*.

It’s no wonder that iCASH has become the lender of choice for Alberta residents, especially those who are receiving AISH benefits.

What is the AISH program?

For Alberta residents suffering from a disability or handicap, the government offers a valuable benefit. This takes the form of the Alberta Income for the Severely Handicapped program, which provides a monthly cash benefit to pay for basic living, healthcare, and other expenses.

The program has variable payouts based on a number of different factors, with different elements including a living allowance, child credit, health benefits, and personal benefits. Combined, these can add up to over $2,000 a month in benefits from the provincial government for eligible individuals.

Many who suffer from disabilities and handicaps are unable to work, and this may be their primary source of income. A fixed income can make it especially hard to handle emergency or surprise expenses, manage your cash flow, and to qualify for traditional loans and credit. This can make it extremely challenging to keep your finances in good order. Fortunately, there are new options available to bring loans and credit to those who need them most.

To learn more about the AISH program and AISH benefits, you can visit the Alberta government’s official website on the topic.

AISH Loans FAQs

1. Can I get a payday loan while on AISH?

Yes, you can borrow money while you are on AISH. You can use your monthly disability payments to qualify for a loan with us. Many forms of government benefits are acceptable sources of income towards meeting our $800/month net income requirement.

2. What do I need to qualify for a payday loan on AISH?

To qualify for an AISH payday loan you must need to meet the following requirements:

  • You must be at least 19 years of age as of your application date.
  • You must be a Canadian citizen, and a resident of Alberta.
  • You must have been receiving the same source of income for the past 3 months.
o The Alberta Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) program payments are an acceptable income source for this purpose. However, the mix of income – from this source and any other sources – must be stable for at least 3 months to qualify.
  • You must have a combined net income of at least $800/month. This includes income from all sources, such as wages, pensions, and social assistance benefits, including AISH payments.
  • You must have a Canadian bank account that has been open for at least 3 months, and has access to online banking functions.
  • You must have a valid mobile phone number, email address, and home address.

3. Do you accept other forms of social assistance aside from AISH?

AISH, other government assistance or welfare benefits, insurance payouts or benefits, annuities, pensions, child tax benefits, old age security, and more are all income sources that we accept.

As part of the $800 per month minimum income requirement, you can have income from many different stable sources. Wages from a job are the most common source, by other sources are perfectly valid.

When you fill out your loan application online, you just need to detail out your income sources and amounts under the “Employment Details” section. That way, we’ll be able to consider all of your relevant stable income sources and give you the best possible chance of getting approved for a short term loan.

4. If I just started my AISH benefit, can I apply for an emergency loan?

To meet the basic qualification requirements for an emergency loan, you need to have had the same source(s) of income for at least 3 months. So, if you only just started receiving your AISH benefit, you’ll need to wait until you have been receiving it for at least 3 months before applying.

Now, if you have other sources of income that total at least $800 per month on their own, and have been receiving those for at least 3 months, then you can still apply right away, regardless of the status of your AISH benefit.

Best Payday Loans for AISH Recipients

Flexible Requirements

Most lenders have a significant number of requirements to qualify for a money loan. They typically include a minimum credit score requirement, that disqualifies a lot of people – especially those on a fixed income or on government assistance, such as AISH.

We want to help as many people as possible gain access to valuable cash loans. So, to that end, we have kept our lending requirements to the essentials.

100% Online Process

Those who are on AISH typically suffer from a disability or handicap. So, it is even more important to have a 100% online process. Our application, approval, and funding can take less than an hour from start to funding in most cases.

Avoiding wasted trips to a branch office, long waits, and tedious paperwork can make life easier. You can apply online anytime, anywhere – all you need is a computer, smartphone, or tablet, and an internet connection.

Outstanding Customer Service

Anyone who has dealt with a bank or traditional lender knows that the experience is rarely pleasant. For those on AISH, it can be downright difficult to try to get their concerns, questions, and problems addressed.

We pride ourselves on having a dedicated customer service team to help make everything go smoothly. Our customer support team is happy to answer questions and address issues or concerns that you may have with your loan application or loan servicing.

Transparent Lending with No Hidden Fees

We believe in being transparent and responsible lenders. Everything about our AISH disability loans is clearly spelled out in the loan agreement, including the cost of borrowing.

Transparency matters and being honest and open is the essential foundation of any relationship. Those are values we hold at iCASH.
