Why was the e-Transfer sent to a different bank account?

e-Transfers are electronic money transfers sent to an email address. The recipient then manually follows a link to deposit the funds into their chosen bank account. If autodeposit is enabled (by linking an email to a bank account), the deposit occurs automatically.

Therefore, we cannot send an e-Transfer to the "wrong" bank account; the deposit location is ultimately controlled by the recipient.

If you have enabled autodeposit and the funds were sent to a bank account you can no longer access, you must contact your bank directly to resolve the issue. Our responsibility is fulfilled once the funds are successfully sent to the email address specified in your loan agreement.
