What gets reported to Equifax?

Every month, we update Equifax on your loan with us. We report whether your account is open or closed, your balance, and whether each payment was made on time or missed.
If you pay part of your balance, Equifax sees the amount you still owe. If you settle for an agreed amount, your account is reported as settled, which means it was paid for less than the full balance. Your payment history stays on your file either way, but a settlement shows that you paid what we agreed on.
We only report on your account with us. Anything else on your credit file comes from your other lenders.
